The higher acid content in crude produced from hydraulic fracturing requires oil refineries to increase use of nitrogen-containing corrosion inhibitors.

The Oxidation Ditch in Dahlgren VA was upgraded using Entex’s IFAS Webitat system to achieve stringent total nitrogen limits.

Coeur D’Alene, ID is a great testament to how well the Webitat system works, even within non-IFAS systems, like Contact Stabilization.

Prior to the Webitat upgrade, the plant struggled to meet permit by the first of May each year. Sixteen modules were installed into two lagoons over a two day period. Effluent ammonia levels decreased to well below 5 mg/L.

Kenosha Beef International, Ltd installed two Webitat modules in their existing lagoon in Wisconsin. The Webitat modules were installed with an integral aeration system which combines with the Webitat baffles to set up an air lift mixing pattern, enhancing mixing in the lagoon.

The City of Snohomish, WA installed 18 Webitat modules in each of three lagoons at their existing wastewater treatment plant. They have achieved excellent results.

A BioWeb was installed in the waste water treatment plant at Green Cove Springs, Florida. The plant achieved complete nitrification, meeting discharge permit requirements.

Mr. Frank D’Ettorre of the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority said “With Entex’s cost-effective technology, we were able to save our ratepayers almost half the original estimate. And, with Entex’s system, the implementation time and construction costs were dramatically reduced.”
