Wayne Flournoy

President and CEO

President Wayne Flournoy began his water and wastewater career over 25 years ago. Wayne has extensive technical and management experience with advanced wastewater treatment technologies, including both fixed and moving media systems, as well as IFAS and submerged fixed film systems. Prior to Entex, Wayne provided leadership as President of Kaldnes North America, promoting moving media systems, with full responsibility for all activities for this North American subsidiary of a Scandinavian company. Before that, Wayne was Director of Water and Wastewater for Brentwood Industries where he gained extensive experience with attached growth biological systems. He is well versed in biological nutrient removal and activated sludge systems, having been involved with some of the industry’s groundbreaking work on biological phosphorus removal.

Wayne has also contributed to industry leadership by serving two terms on the Water Environment Federation’s Manufacturing and Representative Committee (MARC). In addition to the wastewater industry, Wayne’s experience in the environmental industry includes tenure with landfill gas to energy project development and cogeneration among others.

Wayne has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Virginia.

Dick Pehrson

Executive Vice President

Executive Vice President Dick Pehrson’s experience with IFAS systems started in 1996 with the first BioWeb installation. Dick also has extensive experience in process design and full plant unit operations supply for the water and wastewater industry. He has had senior sales and marketing leadership positions in several of the premier companies in the industry, including DAVCO, F. B. Leopold, US Filter and Zenon. Dick holds a BA Degree in Physics from Southern Illinois University, and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Some of the specific areas of product experience include aeration, clarification (both conventional gravity and plate separators), dissolved air flotation, physical-chemical treatment, membrane systems, package plants and turnkey industrial treatment systems supply. Dick was also a manufacturing representative for a few years which provides him this important perspective often missing in manufacturing/system supply organizations.

Dick’s breadth of experience, expertise and viewpoint are all highly valued and utilized at Entex to maintain a well-trained and well-supported sales force, providing our clients with the best in process design, equipment performance and customer service.

Heidi Rupp

Director of Finance

Heidi joined Entex in 2007 and has progressed through a variety of increasing responsibilities for Entex, including roles in engineering and commercial responsibilities. Heidi most recently served as Entex’s Director Engineering before taking over as Director of Finance.

Heidi graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining Entex, Heidi worked for Zenon Membrane Solutions commissioning new wastewater plants. Her experience prior to Zenon includes environmental engineering consulting and pulp and paper.

Heidi brings an interesting background to Entex, having lived in Canada and Switzerland as well as the US.

Lauren Takitch

Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer at Entex, Lauren is responsible for process design and simulation as well as project execution and start-up. She has expanded her understanding of key technical challenges by taking state Operator training, as well as training on process modeling include BioWinTM modeling software. She has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University, which fostered her original interest in water quality and wastewater treatment.

Lauren held co-op positions in R&D with Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Technical Sales with Nalco Water. Through her work with Nalco, she gained experience in chemical wastewater treatment. 

Bill Finley

Treasurer

Bill’s management career was in the computer industry and included two successful start-ups and ten years owning his own business. After the formation of Entex in 2004, Bill lent his administrative experience gained in his own business operations to Entex, handling all accounting, finance and administrative activities prior to transitioning Heidi into her new role as Director of Finance. Bill continues to support Heidi in her activities.

 

Jeff Danner

Vice President of Engineering

Jeff Danner is Entex’s Vice President of Engineering.  Jeff leads Entex’s technical staff including process design analysis, R&D and piloting programs, and manages the company’s growing intellectual property and technical expertise. 

With over 20 years of experience, he has held senior management positions in Research and Development, Engineering, and Operations in both the chemical and biotechnology industries.  Jeff has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeff has lived and worked in Denmark for two years early in his career and been responsible for engineering operations in four continents for major corporations. In addition to his technical background, Jeff has developed unique insights into the customer’s perspective through his service on the Board of Directors of the water and sewer authority for Chapel Hill and Carrboro, North Carolina.
