Webitat™ Coeur D’Alene, Idaho

In the spring of 2008, the city of Coeur D’Alene, ID selected ENTEX to update their contact stabilization system to improve nitrification.  The goal was to to remove an additional 133 lbs/day of NH3-N from their existing 6 MGD activated sludge system. In March of 2008, five Webitat modules with BioWeb fixed media arrived on site for installation. The Modules quickly began nitrifying, despite the extreme cold temperatures routinely experienced at this mountain resort town.  In fact, to further boost performance, the city purchased an additional five Webitat modules in the early 2009. Coeur D’Alene, ID is a great testament to how well the Webitat system works, even within non-IFAS systems, like Contact Stabilization.
