The Blue Cypress Golf & RV Resort needed a new wastewater plant capable of treating 50,000 gpd. Entex, in partnership with Galene Water Treatment, incorporated our patented WavTex system in their FRP packaged plant to meet permit limits of < 15 mg/L of BOD5 and < 6 mg/L of TKN. High seasonal load variations provided additional challenges.
Four WavTex modules, each with 25 sheets of EnTextileTM media, were installed in two Galene FRP vessels. This Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge (IFAS) WavTex system provides substantial advantages, including increased treatment capacity with reduced footprint. The shorter HRT and longer SRT of the fixed biology reduces sludge yield and improves SVI, increasing process stability critical to manage the high variability of such plants, especially those with large seasonal loading swings.

Application
50,000 gpd IFAS system for BOD and TKN removal.
Entex Solution
Four IFAS WavTex modules, each with 25 sheets or 1,625 ft2 of EnTextile media.
Goals
- <15 mg/L BOD5
- <6 mg/L TKN
