A tertiary disc filter was installed and started up in 2011 at the Village of New Baden WWTP in IL. The wastewater facility improvements include a new moving bed biofilm reactor, FlowTex cloth disc filter and ultra violet disinfection system.
The FlowTex filter has a design flow of 78,000 gallons per day average flow and 2.9 million gallons per day peak flow. The six 84 (model D84x6) disc filter was designed at a peak hydraulic loading rate of 6 gallons per minute per square foot of cloth surface area and provided in a painted steel tank.
